The sale will take place on Tuesday, April 7 at 10:30 a.m. at the County Clerk Records Management Facility at 317 North Closner.

Properties will be sold at or less than their appraised value.

Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, the county’s delinquent tax law firm, will conduct a public auction to recover unpaid taxes, penalties, and interest owed to various taxing entities within Hidalgo County.

There will be 81 properties at the auction with a total appraised value of over $3 million.

The money from the sale will benefit all county taxing bodies where taxes are due.

The starting bids will be the taxes and fees owed on each property individually. They will be sold as is to the highest bidder.

Interested buyers must register to bid between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on the day of the sale. Money orders and cashier’s checks will be the only accepted payments.
