ALAMOSA COUNTY – Taking the Alamosa County tax lien sale to an online venue was a good move.
Alamosa County Treasurer and Public Trustee Lois Widhalm conducted the 2014 tax lien sale last week, and today is left with 11 parcels out of the 319 that were up for grabs, which adds $130,605 to the county’s coffers with $9,822 headed directly to the general fund.
“Now we have $9,800 we didn’t have before,” said Widhalm Wednesday morning during the Alamosa County Commissioners meeting. “We are collecting nearly 100 percent of our tax obligations.”
